Our vision is to enrich the lives and hearts of those living in regional areas. To achieve this, we have established two main pillars: consulting and woodworking. These two pillars are merely the means, and we are considering expanding into various fields in the future, hoping to contribute more to the local communities.
Regional areas hold a wealth of untapped potential and charm. Each region boasts unique local products, traditions, culture, and resources deeply connected to the lives of its residents. Our role is to identify, refine, and shape these elements into new business models. Our consulting business aims to play a part in enriching life in regional areas. Furthermore, by widely promoting the allure of these regions both domestically and internationally, we seek to foster new exchanges of value between rural and urban areas, as well as between Japan and the rest of the world. In particular, by matching domestic specialty products with the developmental challenges of emerging countries, we strive to solve their respective issues while simultaneously creating new value and enriching the lives of those involved. We aspire to be an entity that closely accompanies and supports local communities.
I was born and raised in Yoshino, and after graduating from university, I served in a local government office in my hometown. However, to realize the vision we advocate, I felt there were limits to what I could achieve as a public servant. Thus, at the end of March 2023, I resigned and established B-Labo Co., Ltd., determined to take action on my own. During my time as a public servant, I worked extensively in the finance, planning, and tourism industries. I was also engaged in Yoshino's core industry, the timber-related business, and had experience working on ODA projects in Vietnam. Motivated by a desire to make a difference in Yoshino's foundational industry, I established a woodworking division in collaboration with local sawmills.
Our woodworking division aims to promote Yoshino timber and effectively utilize forest resources. In response to the current situation where trees ready for harvesting remain abundant in the mountains without reaching the market, we are developing and selling products made from Yoshino timber. Our goal is to introduce the charm of Yoshino timber, which our ancestors have carefully nurtured, to a wider audience. Living with wood enriches people's hearts. By promoting the wonders of Yoshino timber to the world, we aim to save the forestry of Yoshino and create a sustainable forestry economy.
Through these initiatives, we aspire to enrich the lives and hearts of those living in rural areas and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
